Carbon steel IBC totes are made from painted carbon steel alloy. Available capacities range from 110 gallons to 550 gallons. Principal applications include oils, lubricants, and some solvents. Carbon steel IBCs see use in the food, chemical, petroleum, and pharmaceutical industries. Carbon steel IBC containers meet or exceed Title CFR49 requirements, hold UN31A design approval, and meet NFPA 30 requirements for certain flammable and combustible liquids.
Carbon steel IBC totes feature a one-piece sloped bottom for complete drainage, 22-1/2 diameter top-fill opening with removable drum cover, and 1/4″ thick combination lifting lugs with 1-1/2″ diameter eyelets for top lift and hoisting applicable for offshore and domestic use. Carbon steel IBCs feature a pressure-release venting device, one-piece stamped valve guard, EPDM gasket with plated clamp ring, 2″ top bung opening, and a 2″ stainless steel ball valve available in various configurations.
