275 Gallon IBC totes are common capacity choices for many trade applications. They are rated for fluids up to 1.9 specific gravity. IBC is the acronym for intermediate bulk container, so called because the tank’s capacity lies between standard 55 gallon drums and high capacity bulk storage tanks. Trade names include IBCs, IBC tanks, and IBC totes. Our intermediate bulk containers are manufactured in the USA utilizing modern industry technology. They are engineered to meet or exceed governmental and regulatory standards for numerous commodity handling applications as well as various transport methods for both domestic and offshore uses.
Our 275 gallon IBC product line are produced from FDA certified, BPA free, food grade virgin high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin and approved per ANSI / NSF 61 standards for potable water and consumables, (excluding reconditioned caged IBC totes). Manufacture includes UV inhibitors to protect against extended sunlight, outdoor damage. These IBCs are engineered per Title 49 CFR requirements for hazardous, non-hazardous Packing Group II and Packing Group III materials. Design labels include UN31HA/Y and UN31H1/Y.
Intermediate bulk containers make excellent choices for sensitive, potentially degenerative commodities. Such materials, chemicals, etc. that are sensitive to the potentially damaging effects of water, heat, or air exposure are shielded against harmful reactions due to IBC engineering. A 275 gallon IBC will provide ample storage for the transport and application of a vast assortment of such materials. IBC cargo can be stored, handled, and shipped with limited risk to the integrity of the cargo.
275 gallon IBC tanks are robust, effectively simplistic, assorted material containers that are highly efficient in withstanding the duress of transport and various applications. Due to their reusability, IBCs can and will save money over time when compared to drums, making them long term logistic assets suitable for commercial, industrial, agricultural, and consumer based needs.
Our American-made 275 gallon IBC totes see use in:
275 gallon totes are engineered to be space saving and more easily handled and utilized, especially when compared to standard drum transport containers. As an alternative, a single 275 gallon IBC tote is the direct equivalent of five 55 gallon drums and is contained within standard pallet size dimensions. IBCs are also cubical in shape, rather than cylindrical, and this makes them easier to maneuver, stack, organize in position and ultimately transport. All IBCs are stackable up to three high if empty, two if loaded. All but caged IBC models have high reusability and retain their applicable use for years across potentially hundreds of successful operations.
