Description
Newly manufactured, 275 gallon volume composite IBC containers are one of the most commonly used IBC models, often selected for their increased capacity, single pallet size footprint, and the strength and material, chemical compatibility of the tote’s construction materials. Composite IBC totes have internal tanks manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE) and that are contained by a galvanized steel protective cage. The polyethylene liner is blow-mold fabricated from virgin HDPE resin that is FDA food grade, ANSI / NSF 61 certified, BPA free, UV stabilized, and approved for potable water and consumable-based cargo.
275 gallon poly IBC totes have been engineered according to CFR Title 49 IBC manufacturing and design tests for UN/DOT permit labeling. Poly tote UN/DOT labels certify IBCs for the handling and transport of non hazardous or hazardous packing group II and III, solid to liquid commodities; for example: chemicals, solutions, sand, paints, coatings, dyes, process waste, greases, oils, lubricants, intermediates, powders, and granulated substances.
New 275 gallon poly IBCs are fabricated to a nominal tank thickness to certify them for dense fluid solutions rated up to 1.9 specific gravity. Poly IBC totes are durable, reusable, material transport and handling containers that feature increased resistance to corrosion, impact, and elemental exposure, such as rain, rust, heat, and dust. 275 gallon caged totes are versatile IBCs that are suitable for many work use scenarios. Some industries that use poly totes include: agriculture, construction, road work, water conveyance and transport, rainwater applications, petrochemical materials, food and beverage, dyes and flavors, coatings and paints, chemical synthesis, waste management, manufacturing, and product/waste treatment.
Size dimensions for 275 gallon IBC totes are 45”L x 40”W, near common pallet measurements. Composite IBCs feature 4-way directional access channels for increased maneuverability via pallet jacks and forklifts. Their cubical engineering promotes IBC integration, stacking, packing and organization. Single 275 gallon poly totes have volumes equal to five standard 55 gallon drums, maximizing space and handling within operations. Poly tote models feature 6” vented, threaded screw cap inlet ports and 2” polypropylene discharge ball valves with male quick disconnect couplers.
