DEF IBC Totes are intermediate bulk containers that have been designed according to ISO 22241-3. They are engineered for the reusable storage and portable transport of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), also known as Aqueous Urea Solution (AUS 32). IBC Tanks provides DEF Urea IBC tote transfer systems to suit portable applications that see extensive use in the transport, industrial, and agricultural industries. We offer DEF tote systems in capacities from 135, 275, 300, and 330 gallons, and in voltages from 12V, 110V, and 120V.
DEF / AUS 32 is a non-toxic, non-hazardous, only slightly corrosive mixture of 32.5% urea and 67.5% deionized water used to breakdown pollutant nitrogen oxides generated during the combustion of diesel engine fuels. IBC Tanks’ portable DEF tote transfer systems are fully compatible with DEF applications and suitable for long term storage.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid totes are manufactured from food grade, virgin high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, are ANSI / NSF 61 approved, and fabricated with UV, sunlight stabilizers to make them effective for extensive outdoor use. They are seamlessly molded from HDPE, producing a tank resistant to impact, puncture, and tearing.
These DEF IBCs are engineered for extended DEF storage while maintaining the strictest purity. They are designed to promote product stability and decrease crystallization issues associated with evaporation. Tote transfer pumps are designed to limit DEF pump cavitation and promote continuous operation.
DEF / AUS 32 approved portable tote transfer systems are designed for efficient transport, maneuverability, storage, and product filling and dispensing. They are DOT / UN 31HA1/Y permitted and labeled for various transportation methods. Our DEF IBC totes feature 4 way, cross directional access channels for pallet jack and fork lift mobility. Tank walls are translucent for easy sight level gauging.
IBC Tanks offers DEF IBC tote caddy systems with RPV top suction systems. They are available in 135 gallon volume capacity. Available voltages include 12 volt and 110 volt models with direct current (DC) motors. This DEF IBC model features a rigid galvanized steel frame for tank support and protection against drops and physical impact.
DEF transfer caddy systems are installed with a 10GPM maximum high flow pump, discharge hose with measurements 3.25’’ by 20’, and dispensing nozzle. Automatic or manual shut off nozzle models are available. The tank’s top inflow cap is a 6’’ lid with two incorporated bungs, vent, and MicroMatic RPV valve. These totes feature a recessed 2’’ male camlock drain valve. Gaskets materials are offered in either Viton or EPDM.
Galvanized steel caged DEF IBC totes are available in 275 gallon and 330 gallon volume capacities. Pumps are available in 12V and 120V models. These IBC DEF tote transfer systems are protected and supported by a galvanized steel grid jacket. The steel cage resists rust and impact damage associated with normal operation. For DEF transfer, these tote systems feature a 6.5 minute auto shut off 1700 RPM pump and 9GPM max automatic stainless steel nozzle. The nozzle offers extended reach with a 20’ discharge hose. The system is fed by a 4’ tank suction hose to promote full fluid use. The tanks have a 6’’ threaded and vented top fill, and a 2’’ male camlock outlet valve. This DEF IBC tote transfer system has increased suction and fluid lift with a integrated bypass system designed to avoid over pump pressurizing to promote reliable, continuous duty operation.
IBC Tanks is an industry leader in intermediate bulk containers and high portability DEF transfer tote systems. All systems come fully assembled for easy deployment on delivery. Contact us concerning modification of your DEF system of for any DEF tote questions.
