All HDPE plastic Excalibur IBC totes are low cost, long term asset containers engineered for commodity handling and transit. Capacities are available in 110 and 330 gallons, at 1.35 and 1.9 specific gravity for water and chemicals. Excalibur totes have been designed to be replacement alternatives for common 275/330 gallon poly caged IBC totes. Excalibur IBC tote engineering produces a container with increased reuse ability, total tank strength, and resistance against impacts, punctures, drops, and chemicals.
When compared to composite caged IBCs, Excaliburs are rotationally molded (rather than blow-molded) from virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to a nominal tank thickness that is more than three (3) times thicker than standard caged IBCs. Excalibur IBCs are well suited for repeated use and transport, compatible with potable water, greases, lubes, DEF, and chemicals associated with industry applications in agriculture, petroleum, pharmaceutics, food, flavors, dyes, construction and road work, and product manufacturing.
Excalibur IBCs are UN/DOT 31H2/Y labeled for PG II and PGIII transit of hazardous, non-hazardous materials via common freight methods: rail, truck, cargo vessel. They are manufactured according to U.S. Title 49 CFRs utilizing industry grade virgin HDPE resin, FDA and ANSI / NSF 61 certified for potable water use. Manufacture includes UV inhibitors for outdoor operations.
Excalibur totes can be manufactured to food grade standards with materials compliant to FDA, Title 21 CFRs 177.1520, 177.2600, 178.3297, and/or 178.2010. Food grade components may include tank fabrication constituents, gaskets, inlet/outlet caps and valves.
As with all IBC Tanks’ available intermediate bulk containers, Excalibur IBCs can be custom fabricated on request to feature company colors, logos, or product branding. Custom inlet, outlet options are available options as well. Contact us for more info or for requesting a custom design Excalibur Tote.
