Rainwater IBC Totes are caged intermediate bulk containers designed for successful systems of rainwater capture, storage, and implementation. IBC Tanks offers 275 gallon and 330 gallon, 1.9 SG, rebottled HDPE caged IBC totes as cost effective, durable rainwater tote options. They are engineered and certified for potable water use in rainwater harvesting, catchment, and distribution.
For transport, our plastic rain water IBC totes are compliant with Title 49 CFRs and are DOT / UN permitted and labeled UN31HA/Y for domestic and offshore modes of transportation and uses.
These rainwater IBCs feature a newly manufactured inner bottle that is blow mold fabricated from industrial grade, FDA food grade certified, BPA free, virgin high density polyethylene (HDPE). The inner HDPE tank meets ANSI / NSF 61 requirements for drinking water systems.
Stabilizing ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors are added during tote manufacture to resist the damaging effects sunlight exposure can have, making these tanks suitable for extended outdoor applications. Rainwater IBC totes have translucent sidewalls for easy sight level gauging of internal rainwater volume.
Rainwater storage IBCs have a protective galvanized steel exterior frame and integrated composite base pallet. Frame and pallet have seen prior service but have been reconditioned, inspected, and certified according to top industry standards for continued use.
The steel grid jacket is made of tubular, zinc-plated steel and designed to be resistant to rust, warping, physical impact damage, and environmental stressors. The steel frame has two top support bars that can be removed, providing access to the inner HDPE bottle.
The single unit steel frame and HDPE composite pallet base increases overall rainwater IBC durability and maneuverability. Rainwater harvesting IBC totes have 4 way cross-directional pallet jack and forklift access channels. The integrated skid provides multi-directional approach for organization, stacking, loading, and unloading. Empty rainwater IBCs can be stacked 3 high and are not recommended more than 2 high if holding water.
Our caged rainwater totes have 6″ screw caps made from HDPE with buttress threads and EPDM gaskets. As standard, they feature a 2″ male camlock ball valve, quick disconnect outlet fitted with Viton gaskets. On request, EPDM gaskets and NPT threading can be installed. The following are standard rainwater IBC tote measurements.
275 Gallon Rainwater IBC Tote Dimensions: 40″ W x 45″ L x 46″ H
330 Gallon Rainwater IBC Tote Dimensions: 40″ W x 48″ L x 53″ H
Rainwater totes have accessory equipment that is available for custom tank needs and specific application requirements. Top and bottom unloading pumps are available for water dispensing, along with hand nozzle and tubing kits for this purpose. Different fitting and coupler attachment options are provided as needed.
